Dharahara is located in Sundhara, Kathmandu. It is known as Bhimsen
tower. It was built by late Prime Minister Bhimsen Thapa in 1832 A.D. Thapa
made Dharahara under the order of Queen Lalit Tripura Sundari.
Nine-storey Dharahara was collapsed in 2015 just because of
earthquake. This was the biggest loss of the Nation. That's why, Prime Minister
K.P Sharma Oli said that 'I will built my dharahara' in 2016, February.
The new Dharahara was opened by prime minister in the
anniversary of earthquake in baisakh 12.
At the bottom of the Dharahara, there is a ongoing construction
park, restaurant and underground parking.
After the completion of the Dharahara, public allow to climb
to see a view of Kathmandu. But, there
will be not access to public until November.
