New Dharahara of Kathmandu (Photo feature)


Dharahara is located in Sundhara, Kathmandu. It is known as Bhimsen tower. It was built by late Prime Minister Bhimsen Thapa in 1832 A.D. Thapa made Dharahara under the order of Queen Lalit Tripura Sundari. 


Nine-storey Dharahara was collapsed in 2015 just because of earthquake. This was the biggest loss of the Nation. That's why, Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli said that 'I will built my dharahara' in 2016, February. 


The new Dharahara was opened by prime minister in the anniversary of earthquake in baisakh 12. 


New dharahara stands 72m high which has 22 storeys and 2 lifts to make more easy to climb. 



This Dharahara is a new Dharahara not a reconstruction of old one. Most of the people saying that it is not a Dharahara but, it feel like tower. It is completely new construct of Dharahara standing next to earthquate-hit old Dharahara.
 

At the bottom of the Dharahara, there is a ongoing construction park, restaurant and underground parking. 


After the completion of the Dharahara, public allow to climb to see a view of Kathmandu.  But, there will be not access to public until November.

फेरियो नयाँ वर्षको उमंग

नयाँ वर्ष भन्दा वित्तिकै मनमा स्वतस्फूर्त छुट्टै किसिमको उमंग पलाएर आउँछ । तर, गत वर्षदेखि भने नयाँ वर्ष नयाँ जस्तो लाग्न छाडेको छ। पछिल्लो समय विश्वभर क्षति पुर्याइरहेको कोरोना भाइरसले २०७७ सालको नयाँ वर्ष लकडाउनमा घरमै बस्नुपर्ने बाध्यता आइपर्यो । यसवर्षपनि कोरोनाको माहामारी बढ्दो क्रममा नै छ ।  अघिल्लो वर्ष झण्डै ६ महिना कडा लकडाउन भयो । सोही अवधिमा कैँयौ मानिसको मृत्यु भयो त कैँयौ कोरोना भाइरससँग जुधिरहे। पछि लकडाउन हटेपनि कोरोनाको जोखिम भने उत्तिकै रहिरह्यो । विश्वभर हालसम्म करिब ३० लाख मानिसले ज्यान गुमाइसकेको तथ्याङ्क विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठनले दिइसकेको छ ।  २०७७ साल समग्रमा हरेक क्षेत्रका मानिसको लागि जोखिमपूर्ण हुनुका साथै हानिकारक नै रह्यो । जसको कारण सामाजिक, आर्थिक, पर्यटकीय तथा शैक्षिक क्षेत्रले ठूलो क्षति बेहोर्नुपर्यो ।  कोरोनाको असर केही महिना हल्का साम्य देखिएता पनि पछिल्लो केही हप्तादेखि भने फेरि विश्वभर फैलिरहेको छ । सोअनुसार दोस्रो कोरोनाकालको असर तीव्र रुपमा बढ्दै गइरहेको विभिन्न सञ्चार माध्यमले जानकारी दिएका छन् ।  नयाँ वर्षको पहिलो दिनमा जे गरिन्छ, वर्षभरि त्यहि हुन
